This first floor room with architectural detailing lent itself perfectly to the inclusion of a small library and study. Our Client's main study was on the ground floor; however this smaller room allowed him to store his many precious books. The writing desk sat beautifully in front of the arched window and looked out over the sweeping driveway. The symmetry of the room enhanced the peace and stillness of the intimate area offering those who wished, the perfect place to sit and read of quietly contemplate.

The study at The Old Coach House in Surrey was situated in an out-building off the courtyard. The exposed rafters really opened the space and gave it a sense of height. The masculine design was softened through the use of warm caramel woods and burnt orange striped wing chairs. The bold accessories included a polished chrome telescope and bespoke pendant lantern. The vista over the property's substantial grounds, could be viewed from the client’s desk whilst seating in the soft leather Gainsborough desk chair.
