The kitchen and breakfast room at The Old Coach House in Surrey was a spectacular space. The room ran adjacent to the courtyard and was an impressive 20m in length. Three sets of shutter lined French windows opened out onto the cobbled exterior, enhancing the space by merging the boundaries between outside and in. The centre of the room was filled with a banquet style oak table and two oversized end chairs of regal proportions. The bespoke ceiling light which hung above the dining space, encapsulated the essence of the scheme. Hand painted fitted-furniture lined the perimeter of the room, with the end wall housing a state of the art audio-visual system. A bespoke wrought-iron wall clock and earthy Porta Romana lamps added fantastic detailing.

As interior designers in Surrey and London, we were delighted to have been asked to assist this successful local business man and advisor to the House of Commons. The property boasted a large kitchen/breakfast room which allowed for these beautiful Water Hyacinth chairs, especially shipped over from Thailand. The dark wooden shutters were chosen to complement the chosen furniture and state of the art designer kitchen.
