A colourful life...

For those in the industry, it’s been an exciting week with Decorex and with so much to see and experience it’s been really inspirational…

I’ve visited some old favourites, seen some beautiful new collections and with educational workshops still on, such as this Saturday in Marylebone with Little Greene Paint Company, it’s well worth the time, especially if you are remodelling yourself.  For anyone familiar with the April Hamilton style, the colour paint palette is almost exclusively from LGP company, I have found over the years, the paint is of exceptional quality and unlike some other well-known brands the colour is true to the sample and even the cards, so it’s reassuring that the specification is going to work for me with all the other elements, it’s one less “unknown” as it’s the designer's job to push the boundaries and stay creative and fresh…

Having just returned from my favourite island, I was instantly drawn to Ian Mankin's new coastal collection which epitomises the essence of Mediterranean living… stunning & crisp, yet relaxed & timeless linen fabrics, reminiscent of lazy summer days and with a great selection in which to create from, it’s pure joy to be in design.

And not forgetting artwork to finish a scheme, with my all time favourite gallery – Trowbridge, I have used this company for many years and they appear in nearly every interior when budget will allow, some lovely Charlie Wait black & whites for a gorgeous Sussex property

to their latest collection of Jessica Zoob – Abstracts, always something that works for me and ultimately the style at April Hamilton.

Hope you got to Decorex, if you didn’t then it’s one for the diary for 2019.

Thanks for reading.
