Ring the changes with April Hamilton
3 February 2020
The beautiful Hamptons in the US or indeed Hampton court in the UK - creating luxury interiors has always been an incredibly rewarding business to be involved in and having been commissioned to work on this gorgeous house in Palace road, I was delighted to breath new life into the house. If you are looking to spring clean

& upgrade a little, the easiest way is to change the accessories and there are some wonderful pieces available, try Andrew Martin for a pop of colour or Trowbridge for some new artwork, we have lots of lovely unusual pieces at April Hamilton too!
Using my favourite pallet of neutrals, with little pops of colour to bring the scheme to life, I gave the room depth with various materials, such a linen, velvet and polished cottons. Wenge furniture is very still very popular and whilst I refuse to be a slave to the latest fashion, I do love using new collections within a classic framework, which provides a lovely freshness and longevity that makes interior
design a great investment for any prestigious property. The warmth of the polished oak provided a great backdrop for the bespoke nusilk rug and Trowbridge galleries provided me with the delicious artwork to lift the scheme from becoming too formal, with the playful images of dogs… Hampton court may be a long way from The Hamptons,

but only in geographic terms, chic, understated design will always have a place in our homes and indeed in our hearts... Thank you for reading, Rosie
