Stylish Cobham

What our client says

"If you are looking for a stylish, classy home, Rosemary and Charlotte should be your first choice. Working from a blank canvas and challenged with the Covid lockdown, with their team, produced a beautiful, warm and WOW house for my family and I. Rosemary and her team, listened to my ideas and worked with me to make my visualisation come true. It was difficult times that we have never experienced before and a lot of patients and tolerance was needed but as you can see, Rosemary and Charlotte have produced a stunning dream home. I love the colours chosen and the blend of the wallpapers around the house. All of the rooms feel homely, cosy and inviting. The bespoke furniture has been made to perfection and fits in perfectly. The spaces in all the rooms have been used well and none are too cluttered. We love it!"

The Project

Designing a luxury four story home. The brief was to make their new four story house especially homely but glamorous, as the client loathes the winter months in the UK, but then who doesn’t? And being a second home, it needed to meet the comforts of her sons who would live there in the client’s absence.

As a great lover of music and all things cinema, we were to create a gorgeous cinema room, along with the rest of the property that could accommodate a party at almost a moment’s notice, to which the exciting design process begun… Starting in the lower ground we created a cinema room, including a raised floor to accommodate the 2nd level of viewing, bespoke joinery exclusively designed and orchestrated by April Hamilton which encompassed the screen to the front as well as a delicious cocktail bar to the rear of the room, with plush Jacaranda Carpet, textured wall covering from Tektura & bespoke seating set the scene for a fabulous cinema experience with state of the art audio visual. Whilst we moved through the house, a personal favourite was the dressing room.

The client has a wonderful collection of designer clothes, along with handbags and shoes that required housing & we were to design and fabricate the beautiful dressing room, with pearlescent fabric and bespoke Perspex and petrified wooden handles, it was a dream… the client was especially accommodating with our designs and we loved how it came together.

Whilst we tend to steer towards a timeless approach, we still like to stay on trend incorporating the most recent popular styles, like the headboard and gold accessories & details on the furniture, which we brought into the master bedroom scheme. We have used the cushion fabric before, but couldn’t help ourselves as the scheme evolved, they seemed to be the perfect solution & echoed the colours, textures and accessories within the room to present a fait accompli.

What a lovely project for April Hamilton Architectural & Interior Designers to share…
