Our clients brief was to make it feel like a New England beach house with the April Hamilton touch. Having worked for the clients before I felt really comfortable I would be able to interpret their vision. My all time favourite interior has to be from the film, something’s got to give with Jack Nicolson and Diane Keaton.
The interiors are simply to die for… Using the film as my inspiration I started the design process and took the team to the island of Majorca in the middle of winter, with few flights and somewhat chilly weather, we were picked up by their driver and taken to what felt an isolated part of the island.
The entrance was off an unmade road and the electronic gate opened onto beautiful landscaped gardens but the real treat for me was that the two upper floors had been removed to reveal an almost ecclesiastical quality to the building – I was almost in heaven.
Our luxurious bespoke joinery which include beautiful kitchens are no exception, with Miele and Gaggenau appliances that complement our designs and using local granite to enhance The Little Greene company paint and the building surroundings, it was as ergonomically sound as it was beautiful & their chef loved it…
Creating bespoke rugs & furniture designed here at April Hamilton interiors we achieved the New England look the client wanted, with our most favourite suppliers supporting our vision, such as Andrew martin, Designers Guild, Julian Chichester, Victoria Bain, sofa and chair company, Porta Romana and Trowbridge to name but a few..
Whether working in the UK or Europe meeting the dreams & visions of our clients is always of uppermost importance and without the need to compromise the style and brand April Hamilton Luxury interiors has become.
