Our client from Chelsea had been following the designs of April Hamilton for some time and promised herself she would engage our services when she found her “forever” home. Her brief was simple, to make it really elegant and to include already owned flowers and accessories with the rest completely up to us... she had shown us many of our previous designs from our web site and wanted it "just like that" so we obliged and made the pieces again but especially to size with a few little twists to give it that unique feel that is April Hamilton interiors.
Some of the cushion fabrics are from the April Hamilton fabric library that is growing year on year and gave it that lovely sophisticated look the client wanted to achieve. The lovely sofas with the contemporary fabric gave the perfect style to the room and it was accompanied with the bespoke Eglomise glass top coffee table, complimenting the scheme just as we had envisaged.
The eternally youthful buttoned April Hamilton chairs in the favoured crème linen fabric sit majestically either side of the gorgeous Porta Romana thread lamp. We used the popular gold accessories mixed with the silver giving the luxury formal living space an elevated position in the house.
The kitchen and breakfast room was to be less formal as our client wanted to ensure she had a relaxed communal area for her family and friends to socialise. We specified the exclusive bespoke round inset chrome dining table, fabricated for 8 guests to dine comfortably and paired the table with the beautifully studded dining chairs that have remained forever popular.
Encouraging our client out of her comfort zone we introduced the green wing chair with a contemporary geometric design to elevate the area rather than just blend, it was a great success! With chrome lamps from Vaughan's in Chelsea harbour and Porta Romana wall lights and crystal chandelier it was relaxed enough for every day living yet dressed up for a glamorous dinner party.
The luxury master bedroom followed the same brief, the client highlighted various designs we had created before, so with tactile silks and lovely textures, a hand made bed throw and a bespoke deep buttoned headboard we fulfilled the brief exactly. There of course were some compromises such as the built in wardrobes which were already in a lovely wooden finish, but they no longer fitted the design or style we were trying to achieve, so with budget and up cycling in mind, we had them painted professionally and added crystal glass pumpkin handles to ensure the room had fluidity...
